I think there comes a certain time in a woman's life where a small group of friends is vital. 

When the cattiness and pettiness have passed with the teens and early twenties.

At a stage where you are so sure of your sense of self, that you are in a position to bring that to the table and add value. And not rely on the insecurities of others to further fuel yours.

So start looking around in creating your own group of like-mindedness. 

Where "fun" is centered around good food, good drink and good conversation.

I had the opportunity to shoot some shots of some new friends during a ladies-trip to the Vaal, organised by Thandi Velaphi.
